.........of all the crafts, needle work, sewing, hobbies, etc., I have ever done, cross stitching and rug hooking are my two favorites......what determines my cross stitch piece is the frame......it is always old/vintage/antique.......there is never a design or sketch........after putting my linen in the hoop, I think my mind speaks to my needle, and I just start stitching..........very rewarding and relaxing.......here is a picture of my current project and just a few of my samplers.........I have been cross stitching for over 30 years.......my style has changed over the years, becoming simpler and more primitive.....but the joy hasn't changed, if anything, I enjoy and appreciate handwork more now than ever........till next time....remember me, Linda

ReplyDeleteOh yes of course, I remember now..you designed your own samplers! How did I forget that?! (Perhaps you didn't see it Linda but I had asked you on your other blog if you could share some of the patterns you used)..I do remember one though that you did give me the name of the pattern (and then lost it when my computer died)..I think it had a house at the top and the sampler was long?? Perhaps I will see it as I read more of your blog here. Have you ever thought of charting your patterns? I would buy them!..smile..Lori
